ASSET is a cross-border initiative focused on breaking the silence around violence against women — amplifying voices, building awareness, and strengthening real pathways to support and empowerment. One of the most important outcomes of the project was the creation of a dedicated handbook on domestic violence: a practical, step-by-step guide explaining what to do if you become a survivor, how to recognize unsafe situations, and where to seek help. Because the project involved multiple countries, the handbook was enriched with verified information about social services and support institutions across different parts of Europe — making it easier to find the right contacts and resources, no matter where a person is located.
This Erasmus+ training course brought together youth workers from Norway, Germany, Estonia, and Latvia to explore the connection between wellness education, digital engagement, and international collaboration. The project equipped participants with practical tools for wellness work and digital content creation, while laying the foundation for scalable methods in youth work.
Behind every woman there is a story - often untold, yet deeply felt. This ASSET photo session explored hidden personal stories of women of different ages and backgrounds through a respectful and symbolic visual language. Before the shoot, each participant identified the parts of her body where touch would feel uncomfortable, and these boundaries were translated into subtle visual elements within the photographs. The project highlighted the importance of consent, personal boundaries, and awareness of gender-based violence.
In 2025, the UNTU team took part in a Nordplus international seminar in Estonia focused on critical thinking and media literacy, together with partners from Norway and Estonia. We explored interactive and game-based methods and developed practical tools for youth work to address misinformation and digital awareness. The experience laid the foundation for integrating these approaches into our local initiatives in Latvia.
The Wellness Compass Outdoors was an Erasmus+ training course held in Norway, bringing together youth workers from across Europe to explore wellbeing, resilience, and outdoor education. The project focused on practical nature-based methods, self-awareness, and teamwork, while developing tools to support vulnerable youth groups. It empowered participants to strengthen both their own mental health and the communities they work with.
This digital initiative was created by young participants of a Nordplus project to help people navigate the media world, recognize fake news, ask better questions, and develop strong critical thinking skills. The project shares tips, stories, challenges, and practical tools to strengthen media literacy in an accessible and engaging way.
